Shawndelle Pocha BSc.P.T.

Shawndelle is an English and French speaking physiotherapist with a passion for neurological rehabilitation and a special interest in helping individuals to regain function after suffering a stroke.

She loves to help people to regain movement, independence and dignity.  She brings listening, compassion, creativity, fun and hope into her therapy interactions. Her clinical practice is shaped by over 25 years of experience and advanced training in neurological rehabilitation.

Born and raised in Ottawa, she moved to Cranbrook in 2000. She enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, water sports, photography and volunteering in kids and music ministries at her church.

& Experience:

Shawndelle’s career has been spent in diverse care areas including hospital, out-patient, rehabilitation unit and community settings.  Her clinical practice has focused on the following areas:  Neurological conditions: stroke, Parkinson’s, MS, spinal cord injury, BPPV, Alzheimer’s, brain injury

Post-surgical rehabilitation: joint replacements, fractures, amputations, orthopedic injuries

Senior’s health: fall prevention, balance training, mobility support

Pediatrics: neurological and orthopedic conditions
